Studying maths with Panigrahi Sir was an absolute joy. The two years I studied with him was like a gurukul experience; right from the sitting on the floor trying to solve inequalities to him being accessible at all hours. Me, being an out-of-towner, was graciously offered me to stay over at his place over the weekends. Sir, first and foremost cared about us.
Learning math from him was an eye opening experience. He taught me to visualize equations and really learn to appreciate the beauty of rather boring looking equations. His approach to introducing mathematical concepts, though unconventional, was very effective in driving home the fundamentals. Once the fundamentals were clear the rest was rather easy. And the charged environment of having other students around you who were competitive and smarter than you was just an added bonus to my development during those years.
All that I am today is largely because of the way he taught me to think.

When I started my study for +2 in the month of June, I felt like I am in the mid of a vast ocean waiting for it to engulf me. But thencame Panigrahi Sir in the form of a ray of hope who took me safely into IIT by his constant encouragements and series of level 1,2, 3 problems. I was strictly following Sir's advices and doing the assignments regularly (the simple mantra which sir asked us to follow). Now after my BTech, I am working in Mentor Graphics in Noida. Even after 8 years I am feeling nostalgic aboutEuclid. Thanks Panigrahi Sir for shaping up my career which without you was impossible. I really mean this.

Hi, my name is Issan Patri and I studied in Euclid under Panigrahi sir from 2003 to 2005. After that I joined ISI Bangalore as a student of B.Math till 2008 and then joined Cambridge University in 2008 and got an MS. I will start my Phd this year.
After 10th I had joined a coaching institute in Bhubaneswar but was soon bored there and left it. One of my teachers in 10th Nirmal sir had heard about Panigrahi sir and took me to him. I remember being quizzed by him (marks in 10th, NTSE rank, how did I end up joining that coaching institute, so on) and was taken in the 3rd batch. I had some of my most memorable times in the third batch. It was exactly what I wanted, not very serious, yet learning maths properly. We always joked a lot. I always came late so used to get sir’s canonical punishment (bidhas)! I was briefly shifted to first batch, but didnt quite like the somewhat serious atmosphere there and so was back to third batch. One of the running gags was Debjyoti’s jokes on Jajpur knowing sir was from jajpur and then getting bidhas! And most of us had nicknames, used by everyone including Sir (who gave quite a few), like Aja, goa, etc.
Mathematically, I learnt a good deal but I guess the best part was that i gained a lot of confidence on solving problems given by sir (levels like 1B, 1A, 2B, 2A, so on)! I spent a lot of time on problems, which were beautiful and ignored other subjects almost completely. In fact, one of the only constant of my 2 years in +2 were the maths classes, I kept changing places for everything else! Many times I slept in Sir’s house after studying till late in the night! I started doing maths properly there and the hangover continues till now, after so many years of maths, I still want to do a phd and continue doing it. I am very grateful to Panigrahi sir for this.
I hope that others who join Euclid will have as much fun as I did. Besides, I must say that people should not be apprehensive about doing science subjects, in particular maths, for bachelors. Things are very good in the maths world now, solving hard problems is always a high and its fun to be part of the maths community in India as it is somewhat small and everyone knows each other, and if at some point one is fed up, then there is always the finance sector for some extremely high paying jobs. Some of the places which offer very good bachelors programmes are Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) offering B.Math and B.Stat, Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI) offering B.Sc in maths and comp. Sci and the recent IISER’s and NISER. All the best

Every student has his most memorable part of which he can proudly boast of..needless to say … mine was the "happening and full of fun" 2 years at Euclid TMP.
May be someday this'll be replaced by my 4 years at IIT Kgp but I wouldn't have qualified IIT at the first place itself had I not been here.
Everyday, starting from my day of admission here when Sir interrogated me about my previous achievements to the day when I fell under his feet seeking blessings for my forthcoming IIT exam, has some memories attached to it....at times I rode back home happily after earning "very good" from sir for solving a 2B (and rarely 2A) question...and at times walked back sadly after getting "ki bakwas pila...chotha toka...patha satha padhe" compliment.
Frankly speaking I have told innumerous lies, cheated in many of the tests but though late I ultimately realised what Sir meant by saying "self-belief and confidence are necessary ingredients for success" The most cherished memories are those of Roll Party, Singada Party and FEAST(and the ‘Khati’ thereafter), celebrations of Ganesh and Saraswati Pujas, each having cold drinks as their integral parts… and the best which I would never forget are the motivational talks that Sir gave...centering around world's renowned personalities, quality of India's best institutions like ISI, IISc, TIFR, IITs, world's top universities like STANFORD, PRINCETON, HARVARD etc.., achievements of previous Euclidians and finally the goal of our life from being a good human to contributing something for science and welfare of mankind...many of my friends asked why didn’t Sir apply for top institutes or go for PhD… But then I had the answer… Sir never got a good teacher to guide him so his aim in life was to not let anyone get deprived of that.
Here is my word to all Euclidians… may be you don’t completely believe in whatever Sir say but from the moment you'll start doing you'll see the benefits within a month and the one thing that will be left in your mouth is " why didn’t I do this before"... life always doesn’t give a second to everyone..so don’t let this one go…relish your true potent, have faith in him, and believe in yourself.... and as of me ‘PANIGRAHI SIR IS GOD’ .

It all started the day when Panigrahi Sir, as we used to call him, paid a visit to Thatoi Sir's class for a small 15 minute's session on how to prepare for IITJEE. I was in Thatoi Sir's physics batch and was not sure about where to join for my maths tuition. I had only heard of Panigrahi Sir's classes at that point in time. On finishing the session Sir asked me about my plans for the preparation to which i promptly replied "I am confident about Physics under Thatoi Sir's guidance and am planning to join some Mr. Panigrahi's classes at IRC Village", and then came the reply "I am Mr. Panigrahi". Everybody in the class laughed and this laughter continued till the last day of our batch at Euclid. Yes, all of us from the Physics batch at Thatoi Sir joined Euclid. We were one of the batches at Euclid during its infancy.
Each class at Euclid was like a "Masala Movie", jismein horror(of arriving late), action (Sir's typical punishments), josh (race for solving the most number of problems) , comedy (our batchmates with funny but apt names) sab the, but not at the cost of studies. Euclid had transformed me from an average student to a confident one (I wont say strong because almost every student at Euclid was the best in the city, infact in the country). And this fact was proved correct with the number of entrants to IITs, ISI, NTU and NITs from Euclid in the 2003 batch.
Some memorable events and observations about Panigrahi Sir and Euclid:
The Style: "There are only two types of problems: Easy and Good", "Dont think how to attempt, think how to attack the problem", "This should be a level 1 problem but I am grading it as level 2". Do I need to write any more of Sir's famous punchlines to describe how he looked at maths? And the best part was, he made us look at it the same way as he did. He boosted our confidence.
The Approach: Six students sitting on the marble floor with their backs resting on the walls, trying to solve 7-8 "Good" maths problems, trying to be crowned the maximum problem solver of the day. The questions those were left unsolved would get carried forward as homeworks to be reviewed the next day. Once a week we were given extra questions for homework. Some of these "Good" questions were "Interesting". These were the ones which give us an insight on the subject. And these were the tools of Panigrahi Sir. He never opened the theory page but taught us through these "Interesting" problems, and by doing so made us fall in love with maths.
The Ambience: One Maths Genius, one Chemistry stud, one Physics lover, one all rounder (Comedy King), one real-estate "Baniya", and one "Tubelight" (the comedian) made our batch. One small joke in the middle of a problem and Tubelight goes berserk with his unstoppable, wide mouthed, disequilibriumed but muted laughter. All of them made the day. We always streched a 3 hours class to infinity.
The Celebrations: Saraswati puja, Ganesh Puja, Visits to Maa Tarini Dhaba, Punjaabi Dhaaba, were the icings on the cake.
All these enjoyable days have cast such good impressions in my memory, that I still miss those days even after two and a half years of passing out of IIT Kgp.

First of all I would like to express my heartiest congratulations to Panigrahi Sir and Euclid TMP for completing the 10 glorious years of extra-ordinary mathematics learning. I have been a member of Euclid TMP since last 10 years. I have got Panigrahi Sir's guidance starting from class 8. I have been a very average student through out and had never thought seriously about IITs. But right from the beginning he has always pushed me an extra mile ahead. From many of his famous one liners one that has always caught my attention is "there are easy problems and there are 'GOOD' problems". I have never heard of him saying that it's a difficult problem; rather he would give some "bidhas" if we say that this problem is "difficult". Through out my IIT preparation in EUCLID TMP, I have never seen a problem which falls outside the "GOOD" category. His style of teaching Mathematics made such an impact on me that I always used to spend more than 80% of my preparation time in solving problems in Mathematics and rest 20% in Physics and Chemistry. I have attempted all his problems starting from Level I(B), I(A) to Level III(B) and III(A). The most effective and rigorous preparation starts just 6 months before the IITJEE, before which he finishes the course with a III(B) Level preparation. During these six months he used to give us Level III(A) problems and test series. He conducts numerous Part tests and Full Tests in all the subjects Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. I have actually developed more skills in solving problems in Physics and Chemistry during these 6 months. He sets up groups of students those can interact with each other after the test and try to make sure that all the problems are solved by the group correctly. These 'within-Group' and 'Group-to-Group' discussions make a strong impact on the level of understanding of the subjects (specifically Physics and Chemistry, since almost all have strong fundamentals in Mathematics by this time). I would definitely say that he produces IITians single handedly with all his guidance through out the preparation. I have always taken aback by his outstanding predications of expected ranks of students in IIT JEE just after judging him/her for 2 to 3 classes. And all the fellow students in EUCLID TMP try not to feel that Panigrahi Sir is just expecting too much but just remember that you will definitely stand up to his expectations only if you follow the simple mantra "do exactly what he asks to do" (make no exceptions).
No doubt Panigrahi Sir is a legendary mathematics teacher with a revolutionary style of teaching that made me and 1000s of his other students to fall in love with the subject Mathematics. His cool attitude and calm disposition undoubtedly makes him the most loving teacher one can ever have. I feel myself to be the luckiest among all Euclidians since I have got his guidance through out my life. I would like to thank him for all his guidance and for making it possible for me to qualify in IIT JEE and providing me with an outstanding opportunity to shape my career. After IIT, I have finished my MS from Washington State University, USA and currently working as an intern in Mercedes-Benz Research & Development, Tokyo, Japan.

The 2 years that I spent under Panigrahi sir was one of the finest times in my life. I had a lot of interest in 'maths' and 'only maths' to be precise. I with my best friend Anubhav went to take admission at EUCLID and were the first 2 students of 2nd batch. Our 1st class was great with sir asking brain teasers and giving some motivational talks. As our classes went on and on, trigonometry being the first chapter taught which continued for many months :p, my home got flooded with assignments and slowly my whole study time in day used to be over by solving only maths. I used to fear sir a lot, so whenever any question would be asked, I would put down my head ! I feared his 'BIDDHAS' and some special scoldings like 'CHOTHA TOKA', 'UTHEI PAKEIKI MARIBI', etc but now am missing it. Sir in regular intervals used to ask about our progress in chemistry and physics also (though I had none, I used to say some).
The effort he put in for us in these 2 years is just amazing. Now when many of my friends say "Yaar, hume Panigrahi sir ke paas jana tha", I feel very proud to have studied under him. As classes went on, our enthusiasm to solve problems increased a lot and with each of our doubts being cleared perfectly, our concepts were getting stronger and stronger. Sir also conducted a test in every 2 weeks that helped us assess ourselves. With difficulties of problems ranging from 1B to level 7, we got to solve problems of all level. At the time of counseling of JEE, sir also helped a lot as I had no idea about branches in IIT and all.
To add to this, we had a lot of fun too with regular samosa, roll, cold drinks parties and occasional lunch. Classes were also fun filled with some commenting a lot and we laughing hearing their funny comments. All Pujas were also celebrated where students of all groups got to interact with each other. And above all when sir's ex-students, who studied at some great institutions, came to visit sir, we would have a party that day.
Frankly speaking I was poor in physics and chemistry, and in exams too only maths saved me. I am thankful to Panigrahi sir for his efforts on us. I miss all those fun now. Everywhere I go today, I proudly say that "I could not have found a better maths teacher. I got the best :) ." I wish EUCLID continues shaping the future of many.

Shortly after I completed my schooling in 2001, I joined Euclid. I remember being a few months late into the batch, sitting in the corner alone. Soon, all that changed. Panigrahi sir made sure I caught up fast and I had made a lot of friends in no time. I spent a lot of my time at Euclid during my second year there when the whole group used to sit down and solve test papers may it be maths, physics or chemistry. It was a delightful and fulfilling experience I will always cherish. I will always remember the term “chotha toka” which sir used to address us on certain occasions, the gentle tap (although it made a lot of noise, it never hurt) on the back if we were late to the class, the Kurkure parties, the dedicated Munna, the inquisitive Anshuman, the 100 marks exam in which the highest score was 6, Chilly Chicken in Maa Tarini Dhaba, the wonderful friends that I made here a lot of whom accompanied me to IIT Kharagpur and last but not the least Panigrahi Sir.

This institution was one of those places where i have seen people being stretched to their extremes and achieving things which earlier were thought to be out of reach. Unique teaching style combined with a great bunch of people made an interesting learning platform. Having fun was an integral part of learning be it ganesh puja or the numerous gatherings. I studied math under Panigrahi Sir for more than a year in 2002-03. It was a long time back, but I remember his treatment of the IIT curriculum for math as being very exhaustive and rigorous. Panigrahi Sir had attracted some of my brightest peers to his class and I have fond memories of making some great friends while doing some really good math. His personal involvement in ensuring my success in the competitive tests was border-line parental and since then, he has evolved into a friend and a mentor.

Thanks for the opportunity to share our fond memories & experiences at Euclid. Its been one of the best times spent during my school days at Bhubaneswar. The best part about the teaching at Euclid was a strong focus on fundamentals, concepts & application-oriented problem-solving which was a key differentiating factor for us. Still remember the mock-tests & problem sessions where we had no idea of any questions and how we attempted to come up with solutions J . Nevertheless, the concepts learnt have come a long way in my career.
Studies apart, the fun part was awesome at Euclid. The numerous chai-breaks, pakode & Vada aloo-dum breaks & treats from Sir were just too memorable, not to forget the pranks & pats on the back from Sir ( :D ). The fun & frolic during Puja celebrations, Holi & other festivities were also great at our institute.
Profile: I am currently working as a Financial analyst with one of the well known investment banks, Credit Suisse AG, based in Singapore where I deal with Fixed income & FX derivatives. Prior to this, I graduated from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore with a Bachelors degree (Hons) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering in 2007.
Wish Euclid & Sir all the continued success in the future.

Hello to all the readers!
My heartiest congratulations to Panigrahi Sir for successful completion of 10 wonderful years of the Euclid institute. I probably belong to one of the first batches to pass out from the institute, and the experience there had been nothing short of fun.
I came to Bhubaneswar from a small town in Western Orissa after my 10th Board, and the first feeling was that of awe and trepidation. Would I be able to cope in this city? Would I be able to compete? Would I be able to stand up to the brilliant students here? Studying in one of the most competitive schools in Bhubaneswar (DAV CSpur) only added to that feeling. It was only when I met Sir and joined the institute that I started believing in myself. That I can also achieve what many others dream! For me, this was the best gain from him. And of course, the meticulous and methodical way of approaching Mathematics, the regular tests, pranks towards the students (and the nicknames he gave to almost each one!).. Some of the special things that I can still remember after 8 long years.
I graduated in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur in 2007, and am working with Royal Dutch Shell since then. I am currently on an assignment in Canada, though I would be back to my home country next year. I regret that I have not been in touch with Sir for the past few years as much as I would have liked, but my best wishes are always with him.
Hope the Institute touches new horizons in the coming years.
Cheers!

I am Sukadeb Acharya, currently in final year doing Integrated MSc in Mathematics and Computing, IIT Kharagpur. I got placed in Fair Issac Corporation, Bangalore and I have also got PhD offer from Goettingen University, Germany. The time spent at this institute was really memorable. Apart from studies the usual interactive sessions and personal attention given to students was really praiseworthy. We were allowed to come at any time of day and discuss problems or even sit there and study on our own. I give my heartiest congratulations to the institute for completing 10 years and give my best wishes for all its future endeavors.

Euclid is a very special place not only to learn mathematics but also to build the foundations for any engineering degree that one would like to pursue after school. My experiences in Euclid were pretty remarkable because of the environment that Panigrahi sir stimulated, which generated tremendous energy for mathematical thinking and problem solving. Every lecture was a new concept where we learnt something interesting. The assignments and tests are structured in a methodical manner to help one cultivate the material and understand the root of the concept. Routine group discussions with peers help one learn even better. All these things come in a very neat package in Euclid and offered a competitive advantage over other tutorials making Euclid one of the best Mathematics Tutorial Centers. Currently I am a Computer Science student at University of Waterloo, Canada building complex software for robotics and trying to change the future. Even now I find the concepts learnt at Euclid extremely useful as they apply to everyday software. If it hadn’t been for Panigrahi sir, I wouldn’t be here today.

I feel immense pleasure to be given a chance to write about my experience in Euclid, the math Paradise. As the name suggests this is really the paradise of math and I was confirmed about this after I went to IIT. The Math professors which I have come across in my first 3 semesters are just nothing when it comes to comparison with Panigrahi Sir. Those who didn’t study here really missed something. I am extremely thankful to Panigrahi Sir for motivating me towards having faith in myself and achieving the target .
Coming to sharing some of my fond memories, I joined the institute on September 5 ,2005 which was Thursday and also the Gurudivas. Sir bought Samosas for us and it was a nice start to my journey towards IIT.I had a fear about higher level Mathematics before I joined Euclid. And my initial days were not that easy in 3rd batch. But as days passed I started listening properly in class and doing homework. Initially my father used to take me to Euclid by bike as it is far away from my home(4kms).Then in 2nd year I took my bicycle to reach there. I missed our first feast as I was ill at that time. But thoroughly enjoyed the second one. But I remember one dialogue from my friend about the 1st feast that one guy (Mandi, as called by him)ate so much that he made the atmosphere more adorable by releasing “scented ringtones”.:).The poundings on our back on not doing tasks , rush to get Samosas, making funny and wacky things on the whiteboard , Ganesh and Saraswati Pujas and ambrosia provided during those followed by cold drinks, eating Gupchups while returning from Euclid, gossiping for almost an hour with friends will be well preserved in my fond memory archives.
Finally I would like to say to the IIT aspirants ,”Munda Khataa nahele khhata mundaa”, a very inspiring and practical comment by Panigrahi Sir. One has to use one’s mind to the fullest extend and should take the help of teacher as less as possible to ensure a real improvement and success.
Presently I, Satyajit Das, am in Mechanical Department (2nd year), pursuing my B.Tech course in Manufacturing Science And Engineering at IIT Kharagpur.
I could have written more also but I thought that if it is more then no one will read my part rather one will read other's.

Congratulations Sir for completing a decade of Euclid. Euclid is more than just a math tuition it is about being competitive, ready for any problem, explorative. It's about having a strong urge to learn and having fun all the way. I have had the chance of studying under sir for three years. His way of teaching will always test you and push you to the limits yet when you fail to solve a problem his words and encouragement will be enough to try yet again. The never fail attitude is a trademark of a true Euclidian. I remember when in the preparation batch I used to give 6~9 hrs of tests (all the PCM subjects!) every day for more than a month. I gave so many tests that tests felt like just another day. This confidence is critical in D day especially for JEE where you should expect the unexpected. At Euclid study become play. When you enjoy something it automatically becomes effortless. Euclid played a significant role in shaping me and who I am.
Profile: I graduated from IIT Kharagpur as an energy engineer. I did my internship at University of Warwick UK. The work resulted in an IEEE paper which won best paper. I'm currently working as a system integration engineer at Solar Semiconductor Pvt Ltd. I'm leading the implementation of some state of the art solar photovoltaic systems. This includes solar powered cellular base stations which is first of its kind in India. I'm leading the R&D related to development of Solar powered pumps which can run without batteries, are very portable and economical. The product will revolutionize irrigation in India.
I wish Euclid continued success in the future. Rock on Sir.

Since the first day I joined the tuition there was something to take back from each and every class. The most interesting thing I liked about was that Sir did not always teach according to what books says rather he discussed and analyzed from student’s perspectives. As I would say Math is one of the interesting subjects in +2 but with Sir’s guidance the solving problems was both fun and exhilarating. Whether its long tiring problems of coordinate geometry or tricky calculus problems, solving them was exciting under sir’s guidance. Apart from only problems how could someone forget about “Khatti” after the class? Cheers to Sir and all my friends of 2003 batch.
I did my BTech from NIT Rourkela in Computer Science in 2007. Currently I am doing my Masters at Stony Brook University, New York.

Hello junta!!
This is Abhishek Panigrahi, 3rd year Undergraduate student in the Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Guwahati. It is indeed a great pleasure to get to write a few words about EUCLID-The Math Paradise...my institute where I learnt Mathematics in a way I had never learnt before...and haven’t learnt since. Panigrahi Sir taught us Mathematics with a passion like none other.... The love for mathematics he instilled in all of us is like a flame that shall never perish.
Well...first things first.. Congratulations on the completion of a decade of Euclid TMP “The IITian factory” . CHEERS!!
When I passed out of high school, to be honest, I was literally lost ... I was unable to understand how to go about this situation I was caught in. But then I heard about Panigrahi Sir from my seniors. I still remember his words on that eve in May when I first met him...”If you do EXACTLY as I say, you will get into IIT”. I said to myself “This is definitely the best deal”. And indeed, 2 years later I found myself at IIT. Had it not been for him who showed me the path to wisdom, I might still have been goofing around and definitely not where I am today.
He taught us not just Mathematics, but the use of an even more important tool---“Time Management”, something I found to be of great value not only in the examination hall but also in my day-to-day life. He gave us that willpower which was necessary to face the ordeals ahead of us. Initially I was lacking the confidence in myself. But day in and day out, after rigorous practice I finally found what I had been looking for. The sheer will to warp forwards into whatever awaited me without fear, without hesitation and never to look back again. The Formula Diary, The Problem Diary, The numerous tests on weekends, The strict assessment of FIITJEE tests, and finally the jewel in the crown, The CORE GROUP TESTS every alternate day and at the end of it all IIT JEE felt like just another exam.
I still remember how he dedicated himself day and night to helping us shape our career. I firmly believe that a student who has not had the experience at ‘Euclid TMP’ is definitely lacking a LOT in the preparations for IIT.
Sir, it was fun back then studying under your guidance, and I could be at peace, especially because I knew there was someone to tell me what to do and more importantly what NOT to. Unlike now; back then, I had a direction, a purpose - "IIT", a method to successfully obtain what I desired and a mentor to hold my hand at each step. As you know I'm in 3rd year (6th semester) now. Right now I'm trying to obtain an internship abroad. I'm also doing a research project on Hydrodynamic Modeling of a Multistage External Loop Airlift Reactor with the aim of publishing a research paper.
Oh how I miss those days back then!!

Hello Everybody,
Firstly I would like to express my heartiest congratulations to Panigrahi Sir n The Euclid Institute for completing 10 successful and glorious years of high class mathematics learning. Well in my case, I was lucky enough to be selected in the 1st batch which was supposed to focus on cracking the IITJEE. Initially it was a bit tough to catch his pace but slowly I worked hard on it and things became a lot easier. He worked out a variety of sums in the classroom and gave frequent homework so that we kept in touch with the subject. There were separate and regular doubt clearing classes and each and every doubt was cleared. One didn’t have to buy a lot of books as his formula diary and assignment notebook served the purpose. He even conducted weekly subjective tests and cleared all its doubts. Besides all these, he always had some time for fun and entertainment. He is himself a very humorous guy. He has his whole collection of trademark words which he used often
Moreover, he organised 4 feasts in his own place. The Ganesh Puja and The Saraswati Puja are also grandly celebrated. Its was really fun. Besides he made us aware about pursuing a career in the leading institutes of the world and a whole lot of information. In the last few weeks to IITJEE he conducted Core Group Tests which were really helpful for me in my preparations. In the JEE exams I scored well in mathematics though I remained in the EML list.I am currently a 3rd year student in NIT Rourkela and I have won the institute Maths Olympiad. I also got selected for ISI(BStat in ISI Kolkata).Whatever I am today, honestly, I owe a significant part of my success to Panigrahi Sir and the Euclid Institute. I hope the institute produces more IIT Graduates in the coming years and make sir happier. May his blessings draw me to further success in my life.
Thank you

Hi, I am Snigdha. I am the better half of Mr.S.B.Panigrahi. I have always acknowledged my relationship with him as his student as our first and foremost bond. I have had the privilege to learn Mathematics from him since I was in the eighth grade. I shall definitely fail in words to share with all of you how much I have actually enjoyed my learning experience here in the 5 years of attending classes here. But I chuckle in saying that I am slightly luckier than others who have been part of this institute in the sense my learning process of Maths with him still continues. I had never imagined that I would love Maths so madly before I joined here. I deeply appreciate his way of teaching and solving problems. He has made us live and celebrate Maths. We had problems systematically divided into various levels 1B ,1A ,2B ,2A ,3B ,3A etc and then there used to be the diary problems which were an extremely good challenging collection. I used to feel elated , right on top of the world as if I had seriously done something really great when I used to crack a problem given by him. That eternal , unparalleled pleasure and joy of doing Maths was the best thing that could have translated from him into me. I have realized here that “learning is joy” is not a myth after all. He made us maintain a formula diary and a problem diary which he used to check at regular intervals whether they were updated or not. I remember flaunting my formula and problem diary and the test papers to invariably everyone who used to visit our home without even caring whether they understood anything or not. Regarding the tests here, I guess they were the ones which were very challenging and I loved sitting for the tests here. I used to feel devastated if I did badly in them. In my eleventh and twelveth classes and in all entrance examinations the only subject which I used to be so cool about was Maths. Honestly I am enjoying my coursework now so much because it involves Maths. Even now in my classes and exam papers, I try to apply what he has taught and I think of the examples and all that he used to give in the class to successfully find some way out or getting examples to prove or examples to disprove while solving problems. I owe the joy that I derive from Maths to him. He has made Maths a constant rendezvous with my inner self. For me that is the best thing that a teacher can gift his student with. I am extremely proud that I could meet a teacher like him who continues to share with me his profound love for Maths and knowledge in it.
